Food here I fantastic! Came slightly before 5pm and didn't have to wait. Service was fast and staff was polite. Liked the personal space given to each patron regardless of number of pax. 👍🏻

Order the shiitake mushroom if they have it. You won’t regret it.

Best of the best. Hida is still regarded the best wagyu in Japan for a reason, it’s simply delicious. This restaurant is not only specialized in Hida beef but also spot on with service and environment. Price I think is very reasonable for its quality and set up. A must visit if you’re in the area!

Beef is nice and price is very reasonable

We waited just under an hour on a busy public holiday, and were fortunate to be one of the last people to be accepted on the waiting list (which was closed at around 6:30 pm). We ordered the “yakiniku grill meat assortment” and struggled to finish it between the two of us! The meat was so deliciously fatty and sweet. Though Hida beef is relatively inexpensive, in my opinion it is one of the tastiest. The grill is an electric one. Though you lose out on the charcoal flavour, you won’t leave smelling like smoke and meat. A bowl of rice goes great with the grilled meats and assorted condiments.You call the attention of a server with a button. Otherwise, you are left entirely alone, something I did not mind at all.

Delicious!!! Well worth the hour wait for the table. Make sure to get there early to get on the waiting list. The waiting list closed at around 19:15. The meat is delicious and the whole experience is just enjoyable! The ambience isn't what this place is about- it's the food!!!

Come early and write down your name on the sheet, they only allow a certain number of people to dine so it's on a first come first serve basis. We still waited for 1.5hrs to be seated despite coming quite early. You have an option of either BBQ or hotpot. We chose the BBQ and the meat was very tender. Portion size is acceptable.

The wait is quite a while, maybe it would be better to book beforehand. The services is pretty slow. The restaurant itself is clean and cozy. The pork meat is so so, but the beef is AMAZING!!! The hida beef basically melts in your mouth.

Good quality Hida beef, very tasty for sukiyaki. The restaurant is quite spacious and seatings are comfortable. It is within walking distance from Takayama JR station, so the location is ideal for a meal before catching the train or having a relaxing feast upon arrival. In any case, don't forget to make reservation beforehand as the place can be very crowded, especially during lunch time.

Popular choice among Thai people. I follow internet to here. A bit pricy but worth it. I recommend every one who want to taste Hida black beef. Staff can speak some English. So they can guide you on how to grill.

We were there before 6pm and was the second last on the wait list. So better come earlier if you want to have the dinner here. We order the platter meant for 2-3 pax. It was more than enough for 3 person, unless you are big eater. The platter has different cuts, all good. You just need simple ingredients to taste the Hida beef... Salt.. and maybe sometimes a little bit of sauce... That's all. Much worth than the one we have for lunch at Maruaki.

Supreme delicious yakiniku in town!! We went there in the afternoon and waited an hour to get a table. It worths waiting! We tried the hida beef combination set of many parts of beef with the price of around 7500 yen for two persons. Although the price is quite high, you pay what you get. The beef quality is supreme. When I ate it, it was melted in my mount without any chewing. Wasabi or salt is going well with the beef. But, when I ate too much, my mounth seemed so oily. We finished the meal with orange sorbet served on the orange peel. The taste is also good! I definitely come back there again. They also sell beef for customers.Marble Hida beef set is totally recommended with kimchi. Do not grill the beef to much!!😗😗😗😗

A very good Yakiniku restaurant in Takayama. Price is low compared to the food quality they offer. Signature dish is of course the Hida beef.Waiting time is >1h especially during dinner time. Service is fast.

One the 2 best place for Hida beef BBQ. The A5 grade wagyu premium cut simply melts in your mouth. The place is pricy but definitely worth every dollar paid.

The art of ordering here is A-La-Carte. The platter itself isn't something to write home about but the Hina Local Beef is something remarkable.

The best beef experience I ever had in my life！

Waited 40 minutes, but totally worth it! The local Hida Beef is AMAZING and just melts in your mouth. Fun to cook your own, lots of different combinations of platters to order and service is prompt and efficient when needed. We ended up ordering more - it was so good! The best meal we had on our 12 day trip to Japan was in this restaurant. About 5 minutes walk from the train station and well-worth finding. If you love beef, then this is definitely the place for you. Highly recommended!

Premium Japanese beef - just something you cannot miss in Takayama. Be aware if you want to go there during dinner time - it might be fully booked! Better go there at lunch as they offer cheaper lunch set in weekday lunch time.

Great food we took the 8900 yen dinner set and they are superb, we two can finish the beef with salad and rice. A must go place

The highest CP ratio, A5 wagyu beef, the Ser dinner plan is very “reasonable price” given the beef quality is the highest. A very good location in Takayama. Make sure u come earlier at dinner time or u may need to wait or book in advance Highly recommended
